STAR OCEAN 3TILL THE END OF TIME
SECRETS
Mini Games
1. The Bunny Races The
Bunny Races are extremely frustrating, with very minimal reward. What you do is simply select a bet (win or perfecta) and
then choose a winner. The trouble is, you have no bearing in the outcome of the race. Simply choose the bet and the winner(s)
and watch. There are three levels of racing with the highest level giving the biggest payout. In the Win bet you select only
the winner. In the Perfecta bet you choose the first two placing bunnies. If you win a race, you are allotted some Points
that you can place towards prizes. Getting a prize does not diminish your amount of points, so all of the prizes can be had
for the top prize value. The prize list is as follows.Commemorative Prize - 1 Point Laser Weapon - 10 Points Giant King
Crab - 50 Points Bent Mystic Blade - 100 Points Scumbag Slayer - 200 Points Bunny Shoes - 350 Points Pomello Juice
- 500 Points Bunny Race Trophy - 1000 Points
The most important prize is the Bent Mystic Blade, as you
need it to recruit the inventor Boyd.
2. Runic Chess Runic
Chess is played in the same fashion as the puzzle in the Ruins of Mosel. Once again, the Symbologist beats the Warrior. The
Warrior beats the Thief. The Thief beats the Symbologist. Simply line up the proper character so that when they travel across
the board, they will confront the statue that they can destroy. The pieces move in the order of Thief, Symbologist, and then
Warrior. The prize list is as follows.
Level 1 - Blueberries Level 2 - Blackberries Level
3 - 1100 Fol Level 4 - Synthesis Materials Level 5 - Ripe Berries Level 6 - 5000 Fol Level 7 - Strength Berries Level 8 - Perfect Berries Level 9 - 50000 Fol Level 10 - Synthesis Materials Level
S - Lezard Flask
3. Fighting Arena The
Fighting Arena gives you a Gladiator style combat experience. The rules are simple. Choose which mode and rank you want to
play, pay your fee, and then fight. If you lose or quit out, you lose your entrance fee. If you win, you receive a prize.
Don't worry about losing. Simply go to the south side of Gemity to regain your health and then come back and fight again.
Unlike everywhere else in the game, if you die you do not have to load up a save game. The three modes that you can play are
Single Battle, Team Battle, and Ranking Battle. Single Battle and Team battle are the same, except that one pits a solitary
fighter while the other allows the usual team of three to fight. You must win 5 consecutive fights to win a prize. The Ranking
Battle is played as a ladder tournament. You must work your way to the top by fighting a series of battles. The prizes for
each mode are as follows.
Single Battle D Class - Magical
Berries C Class - Mallet Charm B Class - Bunny Shoes A Class - Star Guard S Class - Imposing Scroll
Team Battle D Class - Synthesis
Materials C Class -Tri-Emblum B Class - Scumbag Slayer A Class - Star Splash S Class - Ring of Slaughter
Ranking Battle There is only one
prize in Ranking Battle. To win it, you must achieve the number one ranking. At that point, a special battle will occur where
you will battle the reigning champions. If you win that battle, you'll receive the Victory Trophy.
Paraclesus's Table You'll
find Paraclesus's Table in the Aquatic Gardens dungeon. Defeat the Sculpture Lord at the bottom of the dungeon to get it.
After you have it, go visit Welch in the Peterny Inventor's Guild office. She'll hold it for you and it will open up the VS
Mode. Here you can play a fighting game against the CPU, a friend, or both at the same time. By finding Trading Cards throughout
the game, you'll unlock extra costumes for the fighters to battle in. There are 53 stages to battle in, but you can only fight
in one after you have already visited that area and fought battles in it in the main game.
Ruddle and Rumina The Ruddle and Rumina Side Quest allows you to open up a shop late in the game.
The Side Quest is worth it because their shop has some of the best items in the game. The Side Quest opens up after you defeat
the Mudman and save Ameena. To complete it, follow these steps.
Side Quest Part 1 Leave the village,
then come back to the Inn on the western side. Go to the second guest room to find Ruddle and Rumina. This is a private actioin,
so your response affects how much people like you. The group is looking for the town of kirsla. You can be mean, and give
them the wrong directions (which causes others to dislike you), or help them out by telling them "It's south. You diddn't
know that?" If you answer incorrectly, the Side Quest is over although you may still run into them in another town.
Subquest Part 2 Head south out of Peterny,
across the field and into Arias. You'll find Ruddle and Rumina at the Inn. There are three choices this time. As long as you
DO NOT tell them to go east, you'll send them in the right direction. Choose either Northwest or Southwest.
Subquest Part 3 Now you must head West
all the way back to Airyglyph. Once again, you'll find them at the town Inn. This time, tell them they've already passed Kirlsa.
You can now find them at the Tavern in the center of Kirlsa. They'll sell you the Blueprints for cheap (you need the Blueprints
to get the inventor Izak).
All you do now is wait. Upon returning to Aquios later in
the game, look for Ruddle and Rumina in the northwest side of town. Their shop list will be:
Mythril Sword Ice Falchion Saint's Halberd Biter Crest
Gauntlet Lunatic Shoes Adept's Staff Battle Armor Battle Chain Mail Wizard's Robe Clone Generator Fresh
Sage
Ancient Books If
you agreed to take Roger along with you in the Duggus Forest, this Side Quest becomes available to you. Go visit Roger in
Surferio. If you choose to recruit him into your party, he'll give you the Ancient Books. These books contain hints at the
locations of seven ancient treasures. All are relatively easy to obtain, except for #4 which is in the Ancient Ruins of Mosel
subfloors. The monsters in this area are well beyond your team's strength at this time of the game. Additionally, you have
only until the battle with Crosell to complete the entire search. If you don't, the treasures will disappear.
Ancient Book 1 Treasure
- Health Berries Location - West side of Mudman's Room in Duggus Forest
Ancient Book 2 Treasure
- Magi Berries Location - Torch in the first room of Kirlsa Caverns
Ancient Book 3 Treasure
- Intellect Berries Location - Coffin near Retail Rabbit in the Sealed Cavern
Ancient Book 4 Treasure
- Strength Berries Location - Throne in the Runic Chess Room of the Ancient Ruins of Mosel subfloors
Ancient
Book 5 Treasure - Elven Slippers Location - Dragon's Nest in the Mountains of Barr
Ancient Book 6 Treasure
- Demonbone Cross Location - Tree in the north side of the Abandoned Factory of the Bequerel Mine
Ancient Book 7 Treasure
- Rabbit Ears Chalice Location - Left torch in front of the Bunny Statue in the Ursa Lava Cave
Extra Dungeons
Aquatic Gardens of Surferio Map Complete: 1/144th
Scale Bunny Items: Holy Sword, Blackberries (x2), Fresh Sage, Smithery Materials, Synthesis Materials, Earth Charm, 8200
Fol, 15000 Fol, Paraclesus's Table, Symbol of Courage, Wind Absorption, Blueberries, Anointed Chain Mail, Eldrich Fire Stone,
Crafting Materials
The Aquatic Gardens are not meant to be left until after the main game is completed. If you wait,
this dungeon will seem incredibly easy and most of the items will be nearly useless. The main item you are looking for is
with the boss - Paraclesus's Table.
To get to the bottom, you'll have to go through several
block puzzles. In these puzzles, you need to slide blocks along tracks to open or close passages. To move a block, face the
block in the direction you want to push it and press the Action button. If you make a mistake, you can hit Select to restart
yourself at the entrance to the room and begin anew. Boss Battle: The Sculpture Lord Prize: None (find the Paraclesus's
Table in the chest after defeating the monster) Tactics: If you had difficulty with any of the fights leading up to this
battle, you may have trouble winning. The Sculpture Lord can turn your earth attacks into HP, so make sure not to use any.
Also, he is resistant to wind attacks. To win this battle, attack his two guards first so that you can gang up on the Lord.
As usual, keep one fighter in the back so that he or she can heal and revive any fallen comrades.
Ancient Ruins of Mosel, Lower Floors Items: 16000 Fol,
Smithery Materials (x2), Ripe Berries, Ring of Vigor, Blueberries (x2), Sythensis Materials (x4), Trading Card EX6, Perfect
Berries, Trading Card 4, Magical Berries, Blemished Textbook, Star Guard, Decrepit Tome
To access the Lower Floors, take the left passage in the
central area of the Ancient Ruins. This is a good dungeon to explore just before going in to the Firewall so that your team
can level up.
To get through the first floor, you must drain the water.
It is difficult to see in this level, so it can be tough to navigate. To do this, first follow the passage to the northeast
corner and find the Hauler to ride on. Use the Hauler to move in an upside down U shape up through the second room and back
down to the southwest corner of the first room. It is difficult to see, so just feel your way around. Boss Battle: Amoeba
Giant Prize: None Tactics: The Amoeba Giant is a slow moving brute similar to the Earth Smasher you fought earlier.
Just use fast attacks to keep it off guard.
After you beat the Amoeba Giant, head back around to wear
you got on the Hauler. From there, go to the central area of the southern side of the map and look for 3 beams that you can
use your Ring of Disintegration on. Once through, look for small crystals on the ground. You'll need to lure a Will O' the
Wisp (the light creatures) over them to open the door to the next floor. Boss Battle: Aurora Monster Prize: None Tactics:
The Aurora Monster loves lightning attacks and will MP kill you if you're not careful. This monster has an insane amount of
MP, so using MP damaging attacks is pretty useless. You'll need to heal a lot, so be prepared with items.
On the second floor, simply follow the path around the outside
until you can get into the center. When you find the Save Point, heal before going to the next room.
Boss Battle: Spirit Trio Battle Trophies: 122,123 Prize:
None Tactics: The Spirit Trio consists of Robin Wind (again), Aquaregia, and Nova Blaze. Using elemental attacks is a waste
of time, as each enemy is proficient in a different one. Each little guy is really fast too, so it can be a tough battle if
you spend all of your time chasing one around. Try to keep them in one bunch so that you can hit them all with one swing,
and try to take one out as quickly as possible to make the odds in your favor.
Past the Spirit Trio, you'll get to play another game of
Runic Chess. Line up your pieces in the proper places to gain access to the Treasure Room below.
Maze of Tribulations
The Maze of Tribulations opens up after you complete the main game. To get there,
go to Kirlsa. In the southwest corner is a caved in mine. Inside it you'll now find a teleporter to the dungeon. The Maze
of Tribulations contains an obscene amount of items and is a great place to level up before tackling some of the more difficult
bonus dungeons. This dungeon is straightforward except for the Sliding Room puzzles. To get all of the items, you need to
slide rooms around so that you can jump down to the floor below to access chests. The most significant thing to find in this
dungeon is the inventor Puffy, who is on the north side of the fifth floor.
Urssa Cave Temple
The Urssa Cave Temple opens up after you defeat Luther. To find it, go to Crosell's
Lair and look in the northeast side. The key to beating this dungeon is in understanding the Elemental Orbs. To progress to
the next level, you must place the orb of the opposite element of the barricades on the pedestal in that room. The difficulty
is that once you place an orb on its pedestal, all of the corresponding enemies on that floor become invincible. Find and
place all of the orbs on their pedestals, then run from the invincible enemies if you are attacked. The orb match up goes
like this:
Fire and Water are opposites (red and blue respectively). Earth and Air are opposites (yellow and green
respectively).
The bosses at the end of each dungeon will be the characters
you did not recruit on your quest. At the end of the third floor, you'll fight Fayt on level 160 paired with whomever you
saw coupled with him at the end movie. If you angered everyone so much that you received the solo ending, Fayt will fight
with Luther.
Sphere 211
After defeating Gabriel Celesta (complete the Maze of Tribulations dungeon),
you gain access to floors 101-210 in the Sphere. This dungeon is much the same as the main game portion, however you must
now walk up from floor to floor (you can access your highest level reached by the elevator if you leave). You'll come across
a slew of items that are great for powering up your team, as well as a bunch of bosses that give you good prizes. You'll fight
bosses on levels 101, 115, 126, 137, 147, 159, 170, 181, 192, 200, 210, and 211. Be prepared for these battles.
Use of the Rabbit Ears Chalice
If you do Roger's Ancient Book Sidequest,
you'll eventually uncover an item called the Rabbit Ears Chalice in the Ursa Lava Caves. With the item equipped, enter the
code below during a battle to have that character blow up and deal damage to the enemy.

To access the Maze Of Tribulations, beat the
game first and wait until it saves your file at the end. Reset your game and load up your new Clear Data. Head back to Kirlsa
and head southwest inside the village where you'll see stairs going down. Go to where the locked entrance was which should
now be unlocked after beating the game and go through until you find rocks. Use your Ring Of Disintegration on them and continue
a little bit further. Not too far from the disitegrated rocks, there should be a teleporter which will teleport you to the
hidden dungeon called "Maze Of Tribulations".
To access this hidden dungeon, you must first
beat the game. After loading your new clear Data, return to Urssa Lava Caves on Mount. Barr. Head through the lava cave until
you reach Crossel's room. From in here, head northeast where a treasure chest is. Rotate the camera north to find a door that
wasn't there before you beat the game. Head through it and you're now in the hidden dungeon of "Urssa Cave Temple".
To access floors 101-211 of Sphere 211, defeat
Gabriel Celesta in the Maze of Tribulations. He will mention that a seal has been broken. Go back to Sphere and take the teleporters
up to the fifth floor. You will now be able to access floor 101 from the teleporter on the fifth floor. You must go through
each floor from 101 onwards to reach floor 211.

Hint: Chains |
Chains are easy to build up when you are in Vanguard
III, near Norton's Hideout. Let's say you are standing near the door of the castle in the Ruins and you travel down two times
and you reach a place with a broken bridge, and an item across the bridge - a Nobleman wanders round that area.
1.
Fight this Nobleman. 2. Exit this area. 3. Enter this area. 4. Repeat steps.
Because of the fact that
there is only one Nobleman, the fights will be easy, seeing how Noblemen can only trip and cannot damage you. This can also
help in training as there are two trophies associated with Norton. [If you fight Norton with the Bonus of Exp x 300%, Cliff
will level up after you defeat Norton. =3] After you can finish the Nobleman with one blow or get bored, go up one area, where
another Nobleman wanders. This one comes along with a Scumbag.
1. Defeat these two. 2. Go up to the castle area.
3. In this area, there are two Noblemen each with a Scumbag - defeat them. 4. Go down and repeat the steps. Saying
that you have Exp x 300% - you can earn 6 Exp per battle. =3 Go for the Chain of 500 here if you wish! |

Hint: Easy XP/FOL |
This trick is only available near the end of the game.
Once you return to Elicoor the last time visit the outfitter in West Peterny. Check to see if the item Durian Stun Bomb-R4
has been invented. If not you might have to invent it yourself.
Once the shop has the item, buy 20 of them. This should
be about 200,000 fol. Don't worry though you'll get that back and more. After you have 20 bombs, head to Irisa Plains. There
will be the white winged monsters roaming the field. Go up to one and start a fight. As soon as you can use items, use the
bomb. Instant Win.
Now in order to get a ton of EXP and FOL you need to get in a battle a make a bonus battle occur
and win. After this happens repeat the bomb trick. When your chain starts to have 300% and 200% fol, you will see the trick
at it's best. With two of the white winged monsters defeated at once you gain about 12,000 EXP and 33,200 Fol. When you run
out of bombs, go to Peterny, buy some more, run back, then repeat.
This trick is ideal for people who want to level
up to very high levels in a short amount of time, collect hard to get battle trophies, level up low level char, get lots of
Fol. An example I will show is that in about 5 minutes I got a level 1 character to level 40. |
